They say that the darkest hour is just before dawn; at the same time, they also say that a candle burns the brightest just before it goes out. It’s a world full of contradictions out there and right now I feel like a candle burning bright in the darkest hour ever. Before I burn out completely, I want to take this opportunity to share my life’s learning with everyone out there who could benefit from my experiences especially those that shed a light on different perspectives of a situation; much like a prism breaks white light into a rainbow. With more than half a century of life behind me, almost 3 decades of which were spent in getting formally educated and more than 2 decades in earning for a living, I pretty much feel like I have been there, done that! I have attended 5 schools, 3 colleges, 1 university and hold 3 degrees in science (one Bachelors and 2 Masters). I have worked for 13 organizations across multiple sectors, domains and businesses. I have worked in 4 cities in India and travelled to 15 countries across the globe both for business as well as pleasure. I love traveling with the 2 most important women in my life – my mother who brought me up and was my pillar of strength during my formative years and my sister who in spite of being more than a decade younger than me, is gradually taking my mother’s place. Apart from them I love reading, I love my plants and I love my community dogs. But right now, the biggest love of my life is writing my heart out and talking about the other side of my life – the side that has had a lion’s share in shaping my personality.
